A step-by-step guide to getting your AI customer support inbox live. No technical knowledge needed.

Create your Taskra account

Sign up with your email and password. No credit card required — your 7-day free trial starts when you connect a store.

Tips:

  • Use the same email as your Shopify admin for easiest setup
  • Your password must be at least 8 characters

Connect your Shopify store

Enter your Shopify store URL (e.g. mystore.myshopify.com). Taskra redirects you to Shopify to approve the app, then automatically imports your products, policies, and store metadata.

💡

Tips:

  • You'll need to be logged into your Shopify admin
  • Taskra only requests read access — it can't modify your store
  • Products import within 30 seconds for most stores

Train the AI on your brand

Review the imported data and add your brand voice, custom FAQs, shipping policy, and returns policy. The more context you give, the better the AI performs.

Tips:

  • Write your brand voice as if describing how you talk to customers
  • Add your top 10–15 most common questions as FAQs
  • Include your shipping times, costs, and any free shipping thresholds

Choose a plan

Pick Starter ($29/mo), Growth ($59/mo), or Scale ($149/mo). Switch to annual billing to save 25% — Starter drops to $22/mo, Growth to $44/mo, Scale to $112/mo. All plans include a 7-day free trial.

Tips:

  • Start with Starter if you have one store and < 500 messages/month
  • Growth is best for most sellers — unlimited replies and analytics
  • You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your billing page

Set up your channels

Taskra supports email (forward your support inbox) and live chat (embed a widget on your store). More channels coming soon.

Tips:

  • For email: Set up a forwarding rule from your support email to your Taskra inbox address
  • For live chat: Copy the embed code from Settings → Widget and paste it into your Shopify theme

Review AI replies, then go autopilot

Start with manual review. Once you're confident the AI sounds like you, enable Autopilot mode. The AI will send replies automatically when confidence is above 80%.

💡

Tips:

  • Most sellers enable autopilot within 2–3 days
  • You can always override or regenerate any reply
  • Escalated messages still require your review

Common questions

Most sellers are fully set up in 10–20 minutes. The longest part is writing your FAQs, but you can always add more later.
The AI uses confidence scoring. When it's not sure, it flags the message for your review instead of sending. You can also regenerate replies with a different tone.
Not yet. Shopify is our primary integration. Amazon, Etsy, WooCommerce and more are on our roadmap.
Yes. Shopify access tokens are encrypted with AES-256. All webhooks use HMAC signature verification. Data stays on UK/EU servers.
Your plan continues at the standard rate you selected at checkout — monthly or annual. You'll only be charged after the trial ends. Cancel any time before then and you won't pay a thing.
